He was predeceased by: his son Gary Sherer; his brother Wilbur Sherer; and also, Patricia Sherer Smith and Oleta Sherer Shaw. He is survived by: his spouse Gloria Williams; his children, Dee Sherer (Jean Ann Kiracofe) of Lima and Barb Kienitz (David) of Lima; his grandchildren, Adrienne Fifer (Jeremy), Ashley Weichart (Dave), Spencerville, Austin Sherer (Lauren), Steve Marsh (Katie), Waynesfield, Ken Marsh (Sara), Elida, Jennifer (Chris Brady), Josh (Ann), Sarah Kienitz (Daniel Green) and Hillard; and his sister Carol Oglesbee (Dick).
