She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. Reese and Elva Reese (Dickens); her husband Raymond H. "Bud" Shive; and her siblings, Ethel Pike, Betty Johnson, John Reese and Wilbur Chapman.

She is survived by: her son Gregory A. Shive of Lisbon; her sister Annie Burrier of Salem; her grandchildren, Stacy McNally (Ian) and Joseph Shive (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Liam, Landon McNally, Raegan and Hunter Shive. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Elsie's memory to the Lisbon First Christian Church.
