He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert E. Sr and Freeda Geesling, Sr. (Roberts); and his sister Barbara Geesling. He is survived by : his wife Linda Geesling (Barker); his children, Rob Geesling (Cheron) and Julie Balzer (John); his grandchildren, Sammy, Katie and Adi Balzer; his sister Gloria "Jean" Ramsey (Larry); his niece Teri Slick (Norm); his nephew Ted Ramsey (Lisa); and his great-niece Jordan Ramsey.

If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, to Central Township Fire Department, the Newport United Methodist Church and/or Loving Care Hospice.
