He was predeceased by : his mother Martha (Geer); and his grandson Justin Ley. He is survived by : his wife Sandra Pylant (Williams); and his children, Robert "Chip" Pylant of New London, William "Pug" Pylant of Collins, Richard Pylant of New London, Christina Muscaro of Georgia and Sherry Boyd of Michigan. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
