She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Gilbert and Kay Gilbert (Bremer). She is survived by: her husband Harold J. Akers; and her daughters, Sarah Akers and Emily Akers-Mitman (Robert). She is also survived by one sister; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home (1000 S Union Ave, Alliance, OH 44601).
