She was predeceased by: her parents, George J. Carter and Elsie Dingus; her grandson Brandon Sherrick; and her brothers, Raymond Carter and Henry Carter.
She is survived by: her husband Russell Sherrick; her children, Pam Sherrick, Yvonne Telfer and Russell Sherrick, Jr.; and her sister Rosa Faye Ross. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren.
