She was predeceased by: her parents, Okey Lawhorn and Phyllis Lawhorn (Littleton); her brother Robert Lawhorn; and her brother-in-law Carl Stevens. She is survived by: her husband Ernest Tackett of Mansfield; her children, Jason Tackett (Christina) of Mansfield, Crystal Heinberger (Michael Jr.) of Mansfield and Rita Hammock (Michael) of Plymouth; her grandchildren, Paul, Jessica, Aaron, Jami, Jason Jr. and McKinley; and her siblings, Leotis Lawhorn (Freda) of Mansfield, Frank Lawhorn (Theresa) of Mansfield, Eugene Lawhorn (Trudy) of Mansfield and Joyce Stevens of Mansfield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
