He was predeceased by: his parents, George Heslep and Mary Irene Heslep (Minnear); and his grandson Gordon "Boo" Geddes. He is survived by: his significant other Betty Heslep (Bonen); his children, Renee Geddes and Scott Heslep; his grandchildren, Lindy Johansen (Mike) and Ashley Heslep; his sister Charlotte Hagman; and also, Ethan Hughes, Mason Hughes and Molly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
