He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sanderfer Sr. and Ida Bass Sanderfer; his siblings, Jean Johnson, Marie Westbrook, Patricia Clark, Ola Brooks and Charles Sanderfer; and his stepbrothers, Myron Bowles, Edward Bowles and Otis Bowles.
He is survived by: his brother Rev. Clarence Sanderfer (Nora); and his nieces and nephews, Carla Battle (Cliff), Tasha Harris, Yatika Wallace, Mary Hendrix, Damita Johnson, Carmen Moton, Keytria Mosley, Nikki Clark, KeeKee Shaw, Pastor Tony Sanderfer and James Johnson III. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
