As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though William may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Spellman and Beradina Spellman (Deppe); his wife Mildred Spellman; and his siblings, Ruth Leech and David Spellman.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Spellman (Kelli), Bruce Spellman (Brenda) and Robert Spellman (Shelley). He is also survived by five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wappner Funeral Directors & Crematory (100 Lexington Springmill Rd S, Ontario, OH 44906). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oak Grove Memorial Park (4108 US-42, Mansfield, OH 44904).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Troy Township Firefighters Association, Lexington, OH, the Richland County Humane Society, or the Richland County Dog Shelter.
