He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin F. Long and Janet H. Long Sr.; and his brother-in-law Ronald Osterbrock. He is survived by: his wife Patty L. Long; his children, Melanie Head (Andy) and Adam Long; his granddaughters, Nina Head and Leila Head; his stepgrandchildren, Linnea Prosser, Sammy Lapka, Andrew Head, Molly Rahtz, Will Rahtz, Elle Rahtz and Emily Rahtz; and his sister Joan Osterbrock.
A reception will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Megie Funeral Home & Crematory - Craver Chapel (529 Main St, Milford, OH 45150).
If desired the family suggests memorial contributions in Cal's memory be directed to an animal rescue of one's choice or to the American Heart Association.
