Janet Louise Knowlton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2025, Janet Louise Knowlton of Marietta, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Handschumacher and Geraldine Handschumacher of Lower Salem; her parents-in-law, Ralph and Willa Knowlton; her brothers, Russell and Roland Handschumacher; and her great grandchildren, Sawyer, Sutton Whittle, Milo and Judah Becker.
She is survived by: her husband Jeffrey Knowlton; her children, Steven Knowlton (Mary), Sandra Ridenhour (John) and Eric Knowlton (Lesly); her grandsons, Brandon Whittle (Alyssa) and Richard Knowlton (Joe); her siblings, Joyce Morgenstern, Joan McMannes, Roger Handschumacher (Brenda) and Randy Handschumacher (Pam); and her friends, Cindy and Tynickia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home (314 4th St, Marietta, OH 45750). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Twin Rivers Baptist Church (110 D A V Rd, Whipple, OH 45788).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to the Twin Rivers Baptist Church building fund or to the Warren Township Fire Department.
