He is survived by : his brothers, Russell and Paul of Marietta, OH.; his wife Joanne Jean Pickering Doan; his children, John "Jay" Doan of Parkersburg, WV, Melissa Dalrymple (Bud) of Marietta, OH and Steve Doan (Brandie) of Marietta, OH; and his grandchildren, Blake Doan, Justine Wilson, Brianna Cobb, Whitney Jean Doan, Aaron Winer, Ryan Carney and Jared Carney. He is also survived by great grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his name to a charity of the giver's choosing.
