In loving memory of Karen Reneta Bloomingdale of Marietta, Ohio, who departed this world on July 7, 2025 at the age of 85. Karen Reneta leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold H. Sheppard and Gladys L. Sheppard; her husband William "Bill" Lee Bloomingdale; and her brothers, Ross Sheppard and Harold Sheppard.

She is survived by: her children, Bill Bloomingdale (Gail Holland), Tom Bloomingdale and Kelly Holland (Michael); her grandchildren, Eric, Tori (Jason Williams), Ash, Ethan, Mariah Bloomingdale, Alli Benson (Cameron), Cody (Cierra Meredith) and Rylee Holland (Derik Hesson); her great grandchildren, Carson, Carly, Alaina, Parker, Colten, Gracelynn and Ryder; and her sister Peggy Herron (Rodney). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home - Marietta (408 Front St, Marietta, OH 45750). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Calendar East Lawn Memorial Park (27880 OH-7, Marietta, OH 45750).

Her love for animals was evident in her support for the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, 90 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, OH 45750, where memorial contributions can be made in her honor.
