He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Deborah Christian; his stepdaughter Brandy Nilsen; his siblings, Stephen Berndt, Gregory Berndt and Anita Duckworth; and his siblings' children, Stacy Duckworth, Justin Berndt, Tara Berndt, Cole Berndt and Billy Berndt. He was also cherished by many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
