She was predeceased by : her parents, Luther Wise and Maggie Wise (Kurth); her spouse Harley E. Baer; and her siblings, Elsie McKeal, John, Fred, Roy, Frank, Charles and Ross Wise.

She is survived by : her children, Elmer (Carolyn) of Marshallville and Esther Horst (Dean) of Sterling; her grandchildren, Jeff Baer (Angela), Noah Baer (Emily), Christa Scarbrough (Byron), Doug Horst (Emily), Melissa Underwood (Chet) and Julia Lightfoot (Mark); her siblings, James Wise (Judy), George Wise (Shirley), Kenneth Wise (Nancy) and Hazel Willett; and her sister-in-law Magarete Wise. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
