She was predeceased by: her parents, Tetsue Tomita and Momoe Tomita; her son Joe Lee Pontzius; and her grandson Patrick Thomas Pontzius. She is survived by: her husband Patrick Pontzius; her children, Patricia Nalepa (Dave Nalepa) of Raymond, OH and Tomi Pontzius (Carrie Pontzius) of Cedar Falls, IA; and her siblings, Masayo Hall (Wayne) of Summerville, SC, Seije Tomita (Aiko) and Tosheuki Tomita of Japan. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
