She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur R. Dorsey and Violet E. Dorsey; and her husband Revis Letherage "R. L.". She is survived by: her sisters, Wilda Hanna and Gilda Foster; her daughter Christi DeLoach; her granddaughters, Courtney Davis and Carrie Davis; her great grandchild Luka Jax Canales; her brother-in-law Loren Foster; and her friend Sandy Bigham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made in Shirley's name to the American Cancer Society.
