He was predeceased by: his parents, Dill Benning and Emma Benning; and his spouse Everleaner Person. He is survived by: his children, Edward Benning, Jr. (Katherin), Lewis Benning (Joslyn), Shelilah Miller (Richard) and Jeanette Turner; and his close friend David Stanton. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
