He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Charles and Anna Grace Resseger (Syron); his sister Cheryl Servant; and his nephew Joseph C. Eslich. He is survived by: his sister Roberta Eslich (Joseph); his nieces, Christine Haggarty (Mark), Cindy Matthews (John) and Shanna Smeltz (Kerry); his nephew Ryan Servant (Emily); and his great-nephew John Joseph Matthews.
