It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara J. Matthews (Maumee, Ohio), born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on November 8, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George H. and Olga; her husband Melvin; her brother Jack Simmons; and her granddaughter Andrea Matthews.
She is survived by: her children, Dave, Deborah Matthews, David Matthews (Denise) and Jeffery Matthews (Susie); and her grandchildren, Nathan Matthews (Holly), Sara Okum (Joseph), Zoe Davydov (Misha) and Hal Matthews. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Additional visitation will be on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 10-11 A.M. at Providence Lutheran Church with Funeral Service starting at 11 A.M. Donations in Barbara's name may be made to Providence Lutheran Church, 8131 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528.
