He was predeceased by: his brother David; his half-brother Alvin; his mother Sally Jones (Gagnet); and his stepfather Alvin Jones. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Tiller (Carrie) and Sherri; his wife Cyndi Tiller (Jans); and his children, Jennifer Peer (van), Christopher Tiller (Nicole) and Jessica Thompson (Christopher).
