She was predeceased by: her parents, Addison Schmitt and Buerl Schmitt; and her daughter Janell. She is survived by: her husband Fred; her son Scott Collins (Denise) of Illinois; her grandchildren, Lauren, Caitlin and Michael; her great grandchild Aaron; and her sister Nanette Gates (Colin) of Indiana.

Memorial contributions in Linda's memory are suggested to be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, Hospice of NWO, or a charity of the donor's choice.
