He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Oney and Maudie Shepherd Oney; his sister Hester Mae Oney of Willard, Ohio; his sister-in-law Connie Oney of Willard, Ohio; his parents-in-law, Julie Ahle of McArthur and Jerry Dearing Sr. of Nelsonville, Ohio; his siblings-in-law, Annette Farnsworth of Waterford, Ohio and Jerry Dearing Jr. of McArthur; his grandparents, Troy, Virgie Sheperd (Smith) of Shelby, Ohio, Joe and Aggie Oney (Sheperd) of Dayton, Ohio; and his great-grandparents, John Henry, Judy Sheperd (Vanderpool) of Floyd Co, Henderson and Clarinda Oney (Robinson).
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Oney (Dearing); his stepsons, Michael Betts (Sandra Fraley) of Old Fort, Tennessee and Matthew Betts (Jessica Royall) of Nelsonville; his son Bronson Berryman of McArthur; his stepgrandson Trey Betts of McArthur; and his siblings, Carol Fox, Charles Oney (Marcia), Denver Oney (Boni Driskill), Troy Oney (Amanda), Tim Oney (Andrea) of North Fairfield, Ohio and Bobby Oney of Willard Ohio. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
