He is survived by : his parents, Russell Prater and Maggie Prater (Webb); his spouse Deborah "Debbie" Arnett; his sons, Tommy L. Prater, Jr. (Kelsey Osborn) of McGuffey and Joseph "Woody" Prater (Katy) of Kenton; his grandchildren, Koen, Knox and Bea Mavery; and his siblings, Terry Prater of Dola, Larry Prater (Karen) of Bellefontaine and Pam Ark (Tom) of DeGraff.
