He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Profitt and Ollie Profitt (Banks); his daughter Dorothy Profitt (Haney); his grandson Matthew Thomas Hollon; and his siblings, Blanche Profitt, Effie "Jerri" Williams and Gene Profitt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diana Lynn Hollon (Calloway) and Linda Sue Venters (James). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
