He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar William Butts and Georgia Butts (McDaniel); and his brother Col. Clinton E. Butts. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Ann Butts (Mavis); his daughters, Deanna Jordan (Butts) and Carla Butts; his brother Doyle M. Butts; and his granddaughters, Jazmin and Juliana Jordan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Middletown, 3909 Central Ave., Middletown, OH 45044 or a charity of your choice.
