He was predeceased by: his mother Lorene Collins (Mort); and his brother Buren Bennett (Gayle). He is survived by: his former wife Karen Wallace Conrad; his grandson Hunter; his wife Ann Bennett; his stepchildren, Jeremy Jackson (Charity) and Christy Handorf; his grandchildren, Hannah Hicks, Tyler, Julia Bennett, Cassandra, Kurtis Chenoweth, Elizabeth, Allison Handorf, Andrea and Brenden Jackson; and his sisters, Patty Powers (Bob) and Shirley Brooks.

Since 2019, he fought his diagnosed Alzheimer's Disease with the same determination that he lived his life.
