He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Cox (Nichols) and Norman Cox; his wife Janice Cox; his daughter Julie Ann Secrist; and his siblings, Norma Griffin and Daniel Cox.
He is survived by: his sons, Timothy Cox (Paula) and Jerry Cox; his stepchildren, William Lawson and Kim Lawson; and his brother Charlie Cox (Peggy). He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.
