She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Preston and Emma Rose Gray Noel; and her husband Vaughn Paul Grooms. She is survived by: her children, Vincent Grooms of Middletown, Shawnna Douglas (Samuel) of Rockingham, NC, Sherrie Grooms of Middletown and Lori Grooms of Portsmouth; her brothers, Preston Noel of Middletown and Joey Noel (Tracey) of Broadway, NC; and her grandchildren, Harley, Nathan, Callie, Megan, Haden, Rylynne, Novalee, J. J. and Hunter. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
