He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hounshell and Eva Hounshell (Ingle); his son David J. Hounshell; and his siblings, Homer D. Hounshell, Marion E. Hounshell and Mildred Smith Jacobs.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Hounshell; his son Scott Hounshell (Katherine); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Noble, Ryan Brooklyn, Amberlyn and Declan Hounshell; his daughter-in-law Kim Hounshell; his sister-in-law Kay Hounshell; his nieces, Vicki, Veronica, Debbie and April; and his nephew Roy Hounshell.
