With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Gilley I (Middletown, Ohio), who passed away on June 29, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Gilley and Eula Gilley; his brothers, Troy and Ed Gilley; and his son-in-law Steve Calvert.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Gilley (Prater); his children, Debra Caron (Mike), Marsha Calvert and James Gilley II (Clarissa); and his sister-in-law Bessie Gilley of Springfield, OH. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
