He was predeceased by: his parents, Curt Johnson and Zelma Johnson; his siblings, Georgia, Bill, Helen and A. J.; and his stepdaughter Connie.

He is survived by: his wife Sybil; his stepchildren, Pam, Cathy and Terry; his granddaughter Zoie; and his children, Beth and Jamie. He is also survived by step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren.
