He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Effler and Clara Effler; his brothers, Joe and Eugene Effler; his stepbrother Gerald Roberts; and his former wife Nancy Effler.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Effler; his children, Douglas Effler (Julie) and Jennifer Crutchleo (Ron); his stepchildren, Eric Clark (Lita), Stacy Lewandowski and Chelsey Clark; and his sister Lois Hicks (John). He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren.
