He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Tackett and Bethel Tackett (Blair); his son Larry Joseph Tackett; and his siblings, Johnny, Jimmy, Earl and Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Tackett (Robinson); his son Christopher Tackett; his granddaughter Adrienne Simpson; his siblings, Ernie Nichols (Bridgett), Irene Hall, Linda Bush, Robin Collier (Jim) and Sherry Moore; and his friend Frank Robinson. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
