She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Powell and Anna Powell (Shepherd); her husband Raymond Viars; her children, William Viars, Stanley Viars, Brenda Viars and Leatha Workman; her children-in-law, Roger Schoonover, Norman Workman, Linda Viars and Terri Viars; and her sisters, Dorothy Reed, Ethel Armstrong, Jean Barnett and Desi Tabor.
She is survived by: her children, Judith Schoonover, Carlene Brooks (Charles), Phillip Viars (Sheila), Candace English (Robert), Dennis Viars (Patty) and Richard Viars (Jeanette); her daughter-in-law Judy Viars; and her sister Jackie Johnson. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
