He is survived by: his children, Jay Howerton of Greensboro, NC, Julie Chaney of Middletown, OH and Timothy DeBorde (Lesa) of Carlton, MI; his stepdaughter Melissa Ball (Terry) of College Station, TX.; his grandchildren, Catherine Ables, Kevin DeBorde (Mariela), Johnny DeBorde, Timothy DeBorde (Alex), Joseph DeBorde, Noah DeBorde, Caleb DeBorde, Sarah Chaney, Amber Scott (Lloyd), Matthew Jarrett and Ryan Jarrett; his brother Steve Howerton; and his sibling's children, Clark Howerton, Ashley Howerton and Jessica Howerton.
