She was predeceased by: her siblings, Eurith Cox, Wanda Burgess, Wendell, James, Earl, Eldon and Larry Couch.

She is survived by: her spouse Oral "Red" Elam; her daughters, Jacki West of Maine, Pam Smarro (Steve) of New Jersey and Rhonda Sortullu (Mustafa) of Liberty Township; her grandchildren, Cedar Lukacs (Paul), Brook Benjamin, Tony Palmer (Jennifer), Maggie Smarro-Cooke (Chris) and Marco Elam (Kelly); her great grandchildren, Emily, Nikolai, Lucy and Elizabeth; and her sisters, Elizabeth Clayton of Middletown and Clemeth Morrison of Tennessee. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
