She was predeceased by : her husband Kenneth Hess; her parents, Autie Howard and Fannie Howard; her siblings, Clifford, William Howard, Marie Cobb, Mildred Bottles, Prudie Morris, Lillian Constiner, Opal Zwick and Pearl Neal; and her daughter Judy Redmon.

She is survived by : her siblings, Autie "Bud" Howard (Ester), Curt Howard and Janet Craig (James); her daughters, Connie Baker (Donald), Pam Davis (Frank) and Deborah Neal; and her grandchildren, Frank, Julie, Lorie, Brian, Justin, Tara and Susan. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
