He was predeceased by: his stepdaughter Brittany Gartee; and his brothers-in-law, Keith Burks and Ed Oberhouse. He is survived by: his spouse Elaine Hazel; his children, Kimm Krehmke (Larry), Lynn Humphries (John) and Doug Jenn (Shelly); his stepson Brian Hernandez-Snyder (Marcela); and his siblings, Bud (Kay), Crystal Burks, Carroll Lucas (Bill) and Cindy Miller (Ben). He is also survived by grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
