Joseph W. Somers Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph W. Somers Jr. of Nashport, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 12, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph W. Somers Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louva C. Somers, (Hardesty) and Joseph W. Somers, Sr.; his significant other Kathryn E. Somers (Bush); his sons, Dennis W. Somers and David A. Somers; his siblings, Daniel P. Somers and Charlotte Pace; his pets, Saddie and Abby; and his friend Gerald Graham.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Reasoner (Randal) of Canton, Joyce Perry (William) of Corbin, KY and Joseph R. Somers (Kristi) of Zanesville; his siblings, James E. Somers (Robin) of Newark, David M. Somers (Vickie) of Zanesville and Susan E. Morris of California; and also Matthew Graham. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home (110 W 3rd St, Frazeysburg, OH 43822). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Perryton United Methodist Church, Care of Ruth Osborn, 12355 Scout Road, Frazeysburg, Ohio 43822.
