With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sheila Becky Bridgewater of Nelsonville, Ohio, born in Athens, Ohio, who passed away on April 13, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilbur H. Ruth and Vera Douglas Ruth; her daughter Christina Bridgewater; and her siblings, Leona Hunting, Letha Russell, JoAnn Conley, Roy, Charles and Gene Ruth.

She is survived by : her son Michael Bridgewater (Carol Hicks) of Nelsonville; her grandsons, Cory Bridgewater of Athens and Jesse Bridgewater of Athens; and her former life partner Glen Bridgewater. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jagers & Sons Funeral Home (24 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for expenses.
