She was predeceased by : her parents, Arlando E. Schmidt and Irene W. Schmidt (Tontrup); her husband Robert L. "Bob" Hespe; her son John L. Hespe; and her brothers, Charles Schmidt, Everett Schmidt (Barb) and Don Hoelscher.

She is survived by : her daughter Jean Hoskins of Minster; her grandchildren, Krystalyn Cortez, Nikki Knous (James), Vance Hespe, Lance Hespe (Tricia) and Leigh Ann Smith (Russ); her sister Anna Louise Hoelscher of St. Marys; and her sister-in-law Anna Schmidt of Massachusetts.
