He is survived by: his parents, Thomas Newton and Elizabeth Sutphen; his wife Leanna Newton; and his children, Meagan Avila (Jud), Sarah Gulick (Jacob), Deborah Chapleski (Josh) and Kenneth Bailey (Melissa). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, a brother.
