She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph A. McCaughey and Margaret Freeman McCaughey (Speer); her aunt Mary; her husband Arndt Layman; her son Jay Layman; her siblings, Bill Freeman, Aletha Taylor (Charles) and Jean Prouty (Ray); and her brother-in-law K. R. Greiner.
She is survived by: her uncle Albert Knight; her sons, Steve Layman of Zanesville and John Layman of Douglas, Wyoming; her grandchildren, Abby Corder (Pat) of Zanesville, Amy Layman of New Concord, Adam Layman of New Concord, Jennifer Wycoff (Chad) of Pickerington, Ashley Bennett (Jason) of Wadsworth and Sheena Hayes (Adam) of Thornville; her great grandchildren, Tanner Corder (Ally), Emilee Carter (Austin), Kyle Layman, Laila Richards (Cole Casey), Logan, Evan Wycoff, Peyton and Jordan Hayes; her sister Mary Greiner of Zanesville; and her pet Chip.
