He was predeceased by : his parents, Clark Elliott and Lois Elliott (Wasson); his wife Janice Louise Elliott (Perry); his children, Jimbo Elliott, Debbie Little, David Whaley and Marsha Wilson; his great grandchild Lindsey Nichole Whaley; and his siblings, Clyde Elliott, Mary Newman, Dora Wheaton, George Elliott, Maxine Smith, Junie Elliott and Nerva Elliott.

He is survived by : his children, Brenda Lee Picklesimer (Jerry), Scotty Elliott and Rocky Elliott; his grandchildren, Kimberly Jo Dalton (Jonathan), James Wayne Picklesimer, Nathan Elliott, Gemika Hickok (Cody), Amy Williams, Heather Yoakum, David Whaley, Jarrod Miller and Jeremy Miller; his great grandchildren, Shonna Geddes (Matt), Brooklyn Looker, Madison Looker, Kassidy Picklesimer, Desiraee Miller and Alan Miller; his great great grandchildren, McKenna, Allison, James, Lydia, Autumn and Grayson; his sisters, Betty Lou Potts and Dottie Raypole; his sister-in-law Patty Elliott; his close friend Brenda Mickle; and his caregiver Kelly Kirkpatrick. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
