It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Edward Wilson in New Lexington, Ohio, who passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Wilson and Thelma Reed (Scott); and his siblings, Michael, Clyde Wilson, Marilyn, Carolyn Wilson, Beatrice Kauffman and Marie Winship.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Catherine Matis; his children, Jim, Jeff and Karen; his siblings, Marjorie Deavers (Wilson), Kathy Gall (Reed) and George Reed; and his sisters-in-law, Vernie Webb (Matis) and Charlotte Simpson (Matis). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home (304 Mill St, New Lexington, OH 43764). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM and at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at the Zion Cemetery.
