She was predeceased by : her parents, Augustus Shaner and Blanche Kinney Shaner; and her brothers, Lewis Shaner, Charles Shaner (Wavalene), Albert Shaner and Robert Shaner (Hazel).

She is survived by : her husband Ernest Givens of New Lexington; her children, Darin Givens (Barbara), Scott Givens and Kimberly Miller (Michael); her grandchildren, Richard Givens (Emily), Stephen Miller, Aaron Givens, Sarah Miller, Amber Givens, Daniel Miller and Christian Givens; her great grandchildren, Elaina Givens and Lorelai Givens; and her siblings, Gene Shaner of Texas, Ray Shaner of Texas, Dick Shaner (Lucy) of Thornville, Betty Dickerson (Lawrence) of New Lexington, Blanche "Sis" Sheppard of Zanesville and Donna Ault (Dale) of New Lexington.
