It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Vaught (New London, Ohio), who passed away on October 24, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harmon Bane and Ilene Wood; her husband James; her brothers, William and Curtis Wood; and her granddaughter Traniece Vaught.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph James Vaught, Sr. and Eric Scott Vaught; her grandchildren, Ashley Risner, Joseph Vaught, Jr., Daniel Bakston, Haley, Erika and Kya Vaught; and her sister Peggy Wood of Homerville. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Sullivan Congregational Church (503 US-224, Sullivan, OH 44880). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
