He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Furbay and Rebecca Edwards Furbay; and his former wife Barbara. He is survived by: his sons, Chuck Furbay (Connie Sickels) of New Philadelphia and Jeff Furbay (Tonya Knight) of New Philadelphia; his grandsons, Robert Sickels (Rachel), Brandon Furbay and Zach Furbay; his great grandchild Blake Sickels; and his extended family, Fairy Burrier, Shelley Gonci (Rob), Ron, Rita Jacoby and Becky Furbay.
